Kieron Bowie Stars as Scotland U21s Secure 3-1 Victory
Match Report and Highlights
Scotland U21s have gotten off to a winning start in their EURO 2025 qualifying campaign, securing a 3-1 victory over Hungary at Fir Park. Kieron Bowie was the star of the show, scoring twice in the first half to put Scotland in a commanding position.
Scotland dominated the early stages of the match and took the lead in the 15th minute when Bowie latched onto a through ball and fired home. The hosts doubled their advantage just 10 minutes later, with Bowie again on target, this time heading in a cross from the right.
Hungary pulled a goal back just before half-time through Patrik Poór, but Scotland restored their two-goal cushion early in the second half. Lewis Fiorini fired home from distance to make it 3-1 and seal the victory for Scotland.
The result leaves Scotland top of Group H after the first round of matches. They will be back in action next month when they travel to face Lithuania.
